1. Just write the formula. |
|
Substitute the cell locations for the variables and stick an "=" in front of it.

3. I'm no guru, but I think it goes like this: |
|
Put 121,000 in one cell (A1, for example), 395,000 in another (A2, for example). In a third cell, type in the equation: =A1/A2 Then format that cell so to change the decimal number to a fraction. (Go to "Format"; "Format cell" should be one of the options. Choose - I think it's called - "Format as a percentage")
Is this what you needed?

Put 121000 in cell A1
Put 395000 in cell A2
In cell A3 put "=A1/A2", without the quotation marks.
Cell A3 should now be showing a value like .30xxxx to some decimal places.
Now put the cursor on cell A3. Under the Format menu, select "Cells", then "Percentage" A3 should now be showing something like 30.xx%.
