A few frosty snow pics, for those who want a white Christmas.

Had our first major snow fall in here in New England yesterday. I've been talking with a couple of posters over the last few days who are apparently posting from down in Florida and it got me thinking of those who have never had a white Christmas or won't be having one this years.

Here's a few photos, I just snagged from off of my back porch...burrrr...



We still have these tiki-torches on the patio from last summer, I thought I'd light one to keep warm...



Anybody else got any snow stories or pictures you want to show?

1. Awwww, pretty

I moved from Vermont to California 6 years ago and this is the first year I find myself actually missing snow. After 38 years in Vermont, it was at first very nice not to have to deal with it, though I've always enjoyed certain aspects of winter.

Now, though, I'm starting to get homesick for the seasonal change - here it changes but it's very subtle. Pastel colors in the fall, cool and rainy in the winter, spring and summer are dry and hot. Gets a little boring.

The snow can be quite beautiful, especially around the holidays. I wouldn't mind a little Miami sunshine though. :hi:
