Recommended method to buy foreign currency from the U.S.?

Real currency, not funds.

Specifically, the Euro, the Chinese Yuan and the Singapore Dollar. Any specific (vendor) recommendations appreciated.

I'm primarily interested in a method that would allow me to make periodic purchases and requiring an initial buy-in of $2500 U.S. or less.

Actually, it could be detrimental if a majority of the U.S. population did this, but I don't think they're going to.

not all banks but normally one or two will have it on hand.
