My New "Dumbest Pitch Line"
Have you seen the new Norelco ad for their new electric shaver?

Four times in the commercials (there are 3 different versions), and as the pre-cap before the tag line, they say "Designed for closeness."

What the heck is that? Has any razor company EVER designed a razor for any reason other than a close shave????? So, they've designed it for closeness, as opposed to what? Designing it to be useless so that NOBODY would buy one?

That line just stuck in my throat over the last couple of days. It's just so stupid!

they still think they'll be able to convince some loser that if he buys their product, he'll get a girl.

On edit-guess what, guys? Many ladies prefer beards, myself included!

2. Well, They All Do That!
But the designed for closeness is just incredibly stupid. Girl or no, who would buy a razor that didn't shave closely? I mean, it's the POINT of shaving!

3. Aw, you just hate it because you have an abnormally large cookie duster.
And therefore it goes against every fiber of your being.

4. True, But. . ..
. . .i have to shave the rest of my face, sometimes twice in the same day! And, i want that to be close. So i better not buy one of those razors that is designed for "farness".
