40. Our new Irving home has a gas fireplace
And my husband swore we'd never have to use it. I think the next several days will prove him wrong. If we aren't indundated with out-of-town visitors, as may or may not happen, I very much look forward to cuddling with him and drinking steaming hot tea on the couch before a fire.

Tomorrow's high expected to be minus 3 degrees. Low expected to be minus 15. I guess when it's like that the high and the low don't matter much.

38. Texas weather is a fickle creature.
I, being a fool, left the house today in a light sweater. I have been freezing my tush off ever since.

Now I'm back home with the heater blasting and a blanket! I know better then not watch the weather forecast here in Texas.

33. In Minnesota, it often swings 60 degrees in 24 hours
I remember once in late October of 1989 where it went from 85° and sunny on Thursday to 20° and snow flurries the next. Now THAT was one messed up year.

Currently, it's bright, sunny and 0°, with a windchill of -17°. It is literally too cold out to snow. We're supposed to warm up to the mid-teens by Saturday, and get some snow to boot.

But look out for next week-- up to freezing by Sunday. We're having a heat wave!!!

:scared: damn it's cold!!!
