OK! Who Here Is A Fan Of Mythbusters!
I am, i am! I love that show! I never miss an episode and even watch them a second or third time. Jamie and Adam are most cool, and the ideas and experiments they do are, for me, as much entertainment as can be had on TV.

Smart, funny, interesting, educational, while busting (or sometimes confirming) urban myths.

Great show!

4. It's On Discovery
The first runs are 8pm central time on Wednesdays. They replay them on Saturday nights and Sunday mornings, too!

This is the 2nd season, and it's just very cool to see these guys.

They have the following method:
They set up experiments to see if these things can really happen.
They either confirm or bust the myth.
Then, if they bust the myth, they figure out what conditions would be needed, no matter how extreme, to MAKE it happen. They usually do 3 or 4 myths per show!

5. Love it!!
my wife cant stand it. Oh well.

Last week Discovery channel aired a special about teens invited to the National Science Finals (or something like that) - and Jamie and Adam were the Celebrity hosts. Great show. The kids had 4 big projects to figure out over 2 days, like finding out where a skateboarder feels the most G forces in a half pipe.

I do wonder about the validity of some of the experiments they do.

11. Really?
I think their approach is quite valid, scientifically. They use control subjects, they have the needs figured out from the proper calculations, they do numerous iterations to take average results, etc.

I'm surprised you thought that!

8. I like any show where they blow shit up!
Just saw an episode yesterday where they decapitated and human mockup with a ceiling fan. That kicked ass!

9. Notice How They Had To Do That
They used an industrial ceiling fan (not a home model) and fitted it with blades that were sharpened like a sword. It still didn't cut through the spine.

17. Yeah, that myth was "busted", but it was still cool to watch.
The slo-mo of the experiment was a real hoot. Almost as good as the trombone cannon from last season. Most of the things don't work exactly as they're supposed to, so they have to go to extremes in order to make for good TV. I guess that's the purpose of the show though.

My other favorite was the pig-corpse Corvette. haha!

10. One of my favorites
and the women on the show are hot.

Sadly, they don't take things far enough in my opinion on some of their experiments. Like in the Archimedes Mirrors, I would have like to have seen them calculate just how large of a mirror structure would be needed to set wood (or canvas) on fire.

And as sick as it may sound, I like the fact people actually get hurt on the show. I like the fact that they are messing around with dangerous forces and we get to see the result of the dangerous forces at times.

14. Good Catch
Actually they did figure out how big the mirror would need to be. That's why that tiled mirror that Adam built was the size it was. Problem was, they couldn't smooth the mounting surface enough to actually focus all the beams on a central point small enough.

They actually do have to do that disclaimer about not doing it at home, you're right. They've both gotten burned a few times, and Jamie almost got killed in that coffin experiment.

24. The best line ever said on television (Adam): "How hard can it be...
...to blow up a room full of gasoline?"

This said when they couldn't get a cell phone to ignite gas fumes. :D

21. I don't really like the new sub-hosts all that much
Just because they don't have the Jamie and Adam's wacky personalities.. Although I think the new women hosts are interesting and drop dead gorgeous.

I think I like the show so much because they are both on my wavelength and also have my dream job. My brain is exactly inbetween Adam and Jamie's.

22. Both my hubby and I are fans...
He's a real pyro, so he likes it when they blow stuff up reeeeal goood. I like the personalities, and the chemistry between Adam and Jamie is fun to watch. I agree this season hasn't been quite as good as in the past, if only because they've devoted too much time to the "interns" or junior staff members, or whatever, and Jamie just seems to show up from time to time to point at something or make a comment an awful lot.

I like the invent-a-gadget contests a lot, pitting Adam and Jamie in a titanic struggle to prove once and for all who is the craftier geek. I'd sure love to see more things like trying to blow up a car just by shooting its gas tank--you know, movie myths. I'd really like to know: can you successfully run from a fireball?

not that there's anything wrong with that. They just have a certain "vibe". Maybe it's the Village People moustache on Jamie.
