I think our Asst Director doesn't like me. She came in and made a big show of giving the woman next to me a Christmas present, then made a point of leaving one on the desk of the woman who sits across from me. (There's only 3 of us with desks in this room). None for me?? gee. (and no, the three women aren't friends)
Ok, I confess, my feelings are a bit hurt. I think she's mad because I led the effort to redo the parking here (I was tired of DC parking tickets! and wanted them distributed more fairly) and she lost her personal choice spot! Oh well, I'd rather have a parking space than a box of cookies that I can't eat! :P

I don't see her career going too far, if she has to be that small and is that open about it.
BTW, just out of curiosity, does the office traditionally exchange gifts? Did your co-workers give gifts to her?

No we don't. Well, we have a gift exchange at the Christmas Party (Which I couldn't make becasue me wife had to work late) but we don't exchange gifts in the office. The two women involved didn't give her anything.
We did all get a box of cookies from our boss though.
