many thanks to all who brainstormed with us on my dad's condition. just the past day has been an improvement. he recognized his mother right away, and his sisters. i haven't been up to see him yet, he's still knocked out from the spinal tap. i need a nap any-who!
my family, my mother especially is very grateful for all your ideas and well wishing. this really is the best on line community.
sorry i abandoned my other thread. we left out at midnight CT.
you may have heard about the winter storm raging through the area. i'm a michigan native, so it really just made me homesick.
i thought i was clear that he was in the hospital here in GA and i was in memphis, but it doesn't matter now. he has been communicating a lot better today, and that says a bunch, because he never was a great linguist.
i really can't express enough, the support i felt from the responses here. most dems i know have been kinda down lately, understandably. i'll ramble again how grateful we are. i know no one cured him, but it really is the thoughts that made the difference.
i'll give an update later today after i visit with him and talk with the docs.
