I stayed home from work today...here's the list of reasons why
1. I'm wheezing and breathing like Darth Vader (I'd go to the doctor, but I have no insurance) (I have adult onset asthma, and it's flaring ugly)

2. I'm in Houston, and it's barely above freezing AND wet

3. My boss's two year old (at the office frequently) has something really ugly. He's taking breathing treatments left and right, and he doesn't have asthma. When I talked to boss this morning, she said another of her four kids is coughing now, and her husband is sick as well (the owner of the business). I don't want to be in bed for xmas.

4. I'm just plain fatigued, have no energy.

Help me out guys, send me some positive posts to give me a boost!

1. Stay in bed, stay warm, eat if you feel like it, watch trash TV
That's my favorite antedote for a day like today. I'm not telling you anything you don't know, but I'd go to the doctor if I were you, asthma is nothing to mess around with. I hope you at least have a scrip for an inhaler. I've had it since I was 5 and it is no picnic.

Hope you feel better really fast--it's no fun being sick during the holidays!

2. I was in bed
Until my son woke me up because my phone was ringing. It was my boss. She was telling me that she bought a Nebulizer for her son, and I was welcome to use it. Great, now I just need the meds to put in it. Nope, I don't have anymore Albuterol inhaler...I used all my refills. All I have is Advair. My insurance goes effective in two weeks...hope I can last that long.

3. Not to put a "damper" on your day (pun intended),
I have to ask: Why don't you get a job at a place that provides health insurance? You need that, you know. If you wait until you're older or sicker....no one will want to either hire you or provide ins. to you at that point. You need to get it while you're still relatively young and healthy.
