Reading the recent articles about "the war on Christmas" and other crap like that, it acured to me that we should have a new holiday.A holiday made for the new political climet. A holiday celebrating how much we love to complain, bitch, kvetch, moan, etc.
But such a holiday would need some good ground rules first, to make sure that the meaning of the day stays intact; unadulterated by rampent consumerism and good nature of the season. I have come up with the following:
1. And it was said that Bitterness shall have a day, and that day shall be December 23rd. 2. Yea verily, no gift shall be bought anyplace but a dollar store. 3. And yee shall celebrate with kitchy movies and strange foods, for this day shall also spite big companies (and movie critics).
And with minimal work, we now have a new holiday. The problem is, I have no name; so I'm opening it up to you guys. Once a name is selected, I'll write it up for Demopedia!

Can't figure out how to put "Solstice" in there without having it sound forced. Chriskwanzukkah just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?
