2. I got on Howling at the moon by the Ramones
Sha-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la-la-la

Ships are docking
Planes are landing
A never ending supply

No more narco
No more gangster
Conservatives can cry

I took the law and threw it away
Cause there's nothing wrong
It's just for play
Theres no law, no law anymore
I want to steal from the rich and
Give to the poor

Sha-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la-la-la

It was glowing, glowing, glowing
Glowing in the dark
It was sparkling, sparkling, sparkling
Sparking in the night
I took the law & threw it away
Cause there's nothing wrong
It's just for play

Theres no law, no law anymore
I want to steal from the rich and
Give to the poor

Winter turns to summer
Sadness turns to fun
Keep the faith, baby
You broke the rules and won

Sha-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la-la-la

Keep it glowing, glowing,glowing
I'm not hurting anyone
Keep it glowing, smoking, glowing
I'm howling at the moon
I took the law & threw it away
Cause there's nothing wrong
It's just for play
Theres no law, no law anymore
I want to steal from the rich and
Give to the poor

Oh baby
Oh baby
Oh baby
Oh baby

I took the law and threw it away
Cause there's nothing wrong
It's just for play

I'm smoking, baby
I'm smoking, oh baby

Theres no law, no law anymore
I want to steal from the rich and
Give to the poor

Sha-la-la-la
Sha-la-la-la-la-la

Gotta love those lyrics.

25. Nirvana - Lithium

I'm so happy 'cause today
I've found my friends ...
They're in my head
I'm so ugly, but that's okay, 'cause so are you ...
We broke our mirrors
Sunday morning is everyday for all I care ...
And I'm not scared
Light my candles, in a daze
'Cause I've found god
yeah, yeah yeah
yeah, yeah yeah
yeah, yeah yeah
yeah, yeah yeah
yeah, yeah yeah
yeah, yeah yeah

I'm so lonely, but that's okay, I shaved my head ...
And I'm not sad
And just maybe I'm to blame for all I've heard ...
But I'm not sure
I'm so excited, I can't wait to meet you there ...
But I don't care
I'm so horny, but that's okay ...
My will is good
yeah yeah yeah (x6)

I like it - I'm not gonna crack
I miss you - I'm not gonna crack
I love you - I'm not gonna crack
I killed you - I'm not gonna crack

I like it - I'm not gonna crack
I miss you - I'm not gonna crack
I love you - I'm not gonna crack
I killed you - I'm not gonna crack

I'm so happy 'cause today
I've found my friends ...
They're in my head
I'm so ugly, but that's okay, 'cause so are you ...
We broke our mirrors
Sunday morning is everyday for all I care ...
And I'm not scared
Light my candles in a daze ...
'Cause I've found god
yeah, yeah yeah
yeah, yeah yeah
yeah, yeah yeah
yeah, yeah yeah
yeah, yeah yeah
yeah, yeah yeah

I like it - I'm not gonna crack
I miss you - I'm not gonna crack
I love you - I'm not gonna crack
I killed you - I'm not gonna crack

I like it - I'm not gonna crack
I miss you - I'm not gonna crack
I love you - I'm not gonna crack
I killed you - I'm not gonna crack

30.  Audioslave
Show Me How To Live, right this second.

Staind, So Far Away, is next on this CD.

This is my life
It's not what it was before
All these feelings I've shared
And these are my dreams
That I'd never lived before
Somebody shake me
Cause I, I must be sleeping

(chorus)
Now that we're here,
It's so far away
All the struggle we thought was in vain
All the mistakes,
One life contained
They all finally start to go away
Now that we're here its so far away
And I feel like I can face the day
I can forgive and I?m not ashamed to be the person that I am today

These are my words
That I've never said before
I think I'm doing ok
And this is the smile
That I've never shown before

Somebody shake me
Cause I, I must be sleeping

(chorus)

I'm so afraid of waking
Please don't shake me
Afraid of waking
Please don't shake me

(chorus)

35. My Back Pages, Byrds
Crimson flames tied through my ears
Rollin’ high and mighty traps
Pounced with fire on flaming roads
Using ideas as my maps
We’ll meet on edges, soon, said i
Proud ’neath heated brow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
’m younger than that now.

Half-wracked prejudice leaped forth
Rip down all hate, I screamed
Lies that life is black and white
Spoke from my skull. I dreamed
Romantic facts of musketeers
Foundationed deep, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I’m younger than that now.

Girls’ faces formed the forward path
From phony jealousy
To memorizing politics
Of ancient history
Flung down by corpse evangelists
Unthought of, though, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I’m younger than that now.

A self-ordained professor’s tongue
Too serious to fool
Spouted out that liberty
Is just equality in school
Equality, I spoke the word
As if a wedding vow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I’m younger than that now.

In a soldier’s stance, I aimed my hand
At the mongrel dogs who teach
Fearing not that I’d become my enemy
In the instant that I preach
My existence led by confusion boats
Mutiny from stern to bow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I’m younger than that now.

Yes, my guard stood hard when abstract threats
Too noble to neglect
Deceived me into thinking
I had something to protect
Good and bad, I define these terms
Quite clear, no doubt, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I’m younger than that now.

48. Artist: Jawbreaker
Album:

Song: Boxcar

Lyrics:

You're not punk, and I'm telling everyone.
Save your breath, I never was one.
You don't know what I'm all about.
Like killing cops and reading Kerouac.
My enemies are all too familiar.
They're the ones who used to call me friend.
I'm coloring outside your guidelines.
I was passing out when you were passing our your rules.
One. Two. Three. Four.
Who's punk what's the score?
Got a friend.
Her name is Boxcar.
Cigarettes and beer in El Sob.
Her hair was blue, now it's green.
I like her mind.
She hates the scene.
You're on your own.
You're all alone.

That took a long time so the song is over..

best of Fleetwood Mac, Hendrix - Are You Experienced?, Bowie - Ziggy Stardust... all the stuff i recently checked out from the library.

oh, and i'm listening to recorded thom hartman shows that i missed.

if i ever went completely deaf i would probably kill myself from sadness. music and sound is integral to my being, just as visual art, color, food tastes, perfume smells, and feeling varied sumptuous fabrics are. without art and the savoring of sensations it brings i cannot exist. actually, more appropriately, i'd rather not exist.

I made an 'Ultimate Christmas' mix on Rhapsody. Currently, the original "Do They Know It's Christmas?" is playing.

I love that song. Used to sing it with my students when I was teaching in Japan. They enjoyed it more than the traditional carols.

Ohhh-ohhh. Next tune - "Christmas (Baby please come home)" - the U2 version.

It's Merry Bono-mas in my house. . . :9
