3. Damn! I love a good pancake! |
|
I even bought an electric griddle specifically to make pancakes on. Of course it works for other things as well, but it's best for pancackes.
Yum! :9

Anything with that much paprika must be Hungarian. It wasn't bad.

They add cultures similiar to cheese to the butter-churning process. As a result, their butter has a more, slightly "cheesy" background flavor. Our butter is very bland by comparison.
Your fritatta sounds good. :9

I happened to have 6 eggs that needed using, and some parmesan cheese left over from the baked ziti.
I like frittatas much more than omelettes. Easier to cook when half asleep! :D

24. I'll recover . . .I freaked at first because I couldn't find any bandaids |
|
and the papertowel I grabbed when I first did it was getting pretty nasty. I finally remembered they were still in a box under the bathroom sink from when I moved.
So I was up to my waist in the bathroom cupboard, with a paper towel rapped around my damaged digit and digging for bandaids with the other hand.
I finally found 'em and didn't even make a mess :).

26. I don't feel like a trip down to storage to get out my |

I could do an omlette or scramble. I have tomatos too. Broiled parmesan tomatoes sounds good.
Soup - it's a childhood thing. When I slept over at my friend Erica's house, her mom would usually feed us soup for breakfast (they were Korean) - I liked it. It's warm.

The teric clan gatherings traditionally involve Quiche Lorraine and Bloody Marys for Christmas morning repast. (You'd be surprised how much better our presents and Uncle Primo all seem after a couple of Bloody Marys).

38. We'll do midnight mass together tonight |
|
after the traditional Catholic seafood dinner. We're all liberals, educated and Italian, so...there'll be spirited conversation. Then we come home, have a grappa or a sherry, giggle a bit and go off to bed. Morning is the whole Quiche Lorraine thingamie. Presents are unwrapped. Food, drinking and spirited conversation occurs pretty much all day. At 4:00 there's the big dinner described in a previous post. (I'll look up the link and edit it in). Afterward we send the kids (nephews and nieces) up for a nap and all sit in our chairs and pretend to be awake and listening to one another.
