I spent Xmas '67 outside Danang Vietnam @ a USMC combat base.

It was swell cause I didn't have to go "outside the wire" that day.
I got an onion & a couple of oranges. Best of all, we had some pot & "The Mamas & Pappas" doing some "California Dreamin'" on tape. And I don't think anyone got hit that night.

6. Actually onions were the "hot setup"
We used them to spice our c rations meals.

I hate onions, so that would have been a bad gift for me.

my future bother in law sent back a pound that my future wife and her friends smoked before he got home...strange days indeed,buying opuim from a cia guy,black hashish,oj`s in the mail..strange days indeed

10. Reminds me of another lie
we are told while fighting this 'drug war' - that the pot the kids smoke today is more potent than what hippies smoked in the 60s and 70s.

Well, unless these kids have found a connection in Vietnam, like we had, no way is the stuff they smoke more potent.

Those were the days when one hit pot really was one hit pot.
