Lump of coal too expensive... any alternatives for the "bad" list kids?
:eyes:

The teenager is on our last nerve. I'm thinking a big ol' sack 'a nuthin' for that one. :D

Anyone have any ideas for the kiddo that has coal in the stocking coming to 'em? :silly:

1. Just remember - nothing that can be used as a weapon
or cause breakage.

How's about a peice of fruit or granola bar.

6. In my family it was a bundle of switches.
If you were bad you got a bundle of switches...

Now, in case that is just a Midwestern term, a switch is a tree branch stripped of leaves and smaller branches that is used to spank bad kids.

You want it green (so it has a spring action to it) and you want it about as big around as your thumb (I am told this is where the rule of thumb expression comes from, BTW.)

Frankly, I'd use it as an opportunity to get the kid's attention--by giving them the chunk of coal or bundle of switches--then I'd give them a real gift after they were freaked out for a short bit of time. Later in the day I think I'd talk to the kid about WHY they were on the S*&T list.
