Birds Can Be Polar Bears Too!
I just returned home from running some errands. While out, I noticed a good deal of bird activity in an empty parking lot. A shallow puddle full of salt-and-sun-melted snow had become a bird bath for a great throng of starlings. Only about 50 of them could occupy every square inch of the puddle at one time, and an incredible amount of splashing was going on. It's 20 degrees here, for crying out loud! These birds get my nomination for honorary members of the Polar Bear Club!

2. Starlings absolutely LOVE to bathe!
They look so cute when they bathe; they look like they're having a blast.
