1. *sigh*
I guess I'm the only one here who cares about you, David. I'm sorry. You rock anyway. Love, Luke.

3. Nope
Sorry hiphop, I just felt bad that you were here all alone. I do find Bowie fascinating, though.

6. It's great.
You're going to love it. The recording itself sounds very similar to the last two albums. Good songs though. Thoughtful and deep. He's so amazing.

I think Tony Visconti produced this record. Enjoy!

7. I've got it practically memorized
He was great on Carson Daly. Of course I would never watch that show unless somebody great is on.

Do you know what's up with them??

He got in a fight as a youth and it paralyzed his pupil so it doesn't close with more light. Crazy, huh??

16. TW is a great site!
Edited on Fri Sep-26-03 06:40 PM by Ramsey
TW is one of the original and still best DB websites on the net. It has a great guestbook and message boards and endless archives of material. The TW webmaster is a good friend of mine! Met him through the Bowie fanworld, and ended up going out for a while a few years ago.

Other good sites are BowieWonderworld (http://www.bowiewonderworld.com/) run by my buddy Paul Kinder (aka Rednik), and the Ziggy Stardust Companion (http://www.5years.com/). And for some amusing pictures of me and some other BowieNetters, you can even visit my own humble Bowie cobweb at http://ramsey.dca.net/bnbdb.htm

Something about water? I thought, Mmm, cool song, wonder who it is? Patted self on back that I was opening myself up to a new band-- then they said it was Bowie.

12. I haven't heard the album yet...
... but I'll try to pick it up soon. Bowie is fantastic. My only problem with him is that he's got such an incredible presence as an actor, but he doesn't spend enough time doing it. I'd love to see him on the screen more. Not to mention his amazing speaking voice.

I thought Heathen was a really cool album. There are lots, though, in his catalog that I've never heard.

I think The Cygnet Committee off his first album is my personal favorite song, though I don't think anyone else has even heard it!

13. I'm scared of David Bowies penis.
It probably, hopefully, has something to do with watching that muppet movie as a child.

15. I heard it live!!
Edited on Fri Sep-26-03 06:43 PM by Ramsey
I've been a BowieNet member forever, and Bowie has a couple of "members-only" concerts a year. They had an album debut concert at The Chance, a small club in Poughkeepsie, on August 19. Bowie played much of the new album with his current band. Great show! I was in about the 3rd row in this very tiny club, what a blast! BowieNetters have been able to download the tracks for several weeks.

The album surpasses his last few efforts IMO, it's rockier for one thing!

Edit: Typos!!
