On DIRECTV pay per view. We thought it was pretty good.

3. Not as good as the first one...... |
|
....but still head and shoulders above most of the dreck out there. It doesn't quite have the frenetic energy of the original, but it's funny and fun for the most part. The kiddos loved it, and some of the jokes are belly laughers ("I'm a real boy!!! Ohhhhhhhhhh.........)
9 on a scale of 10. Two thumbs up.

4. I Remember Reading Here on DU.... |
|
...that one of those "family values" wacko Christian groups condemned Shrek 2 because of that scene involving Pinocchio wearing girl's underwear.

7. Tom Waits doing the singing of the bar piano player... |
|
...was a nice touch. It's those little things that separate it from mere product. It made me laugh, and I am a picky movie person.

10. I don't see Tom Waits listed on the IMDB credits for this movie... if |
|
true this would move it way up my "to buy" list...

I saw the movie in the theater, and his name was in the music credits for that song in the bar. It wasn't a spoken part, hence the reason it wasn't listed on the all too inaccurate IMDB.

I admit it. It just feels good to get it off my chest.
I loved the first one and really enjoyed the second. Hey, at least I do it in the privacy of my own home. :P
