No big parties nor celebrations going on around here. However, it is Christmas and I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2005 filled with peace, joy and happiness!
I hope you have a great day today and all days for that matter. :D

6. LOL...If we didn't have a 10 year old son... |
|
my hubby and I would avoid the excesses of the day and go to a movie and a Chinese restaurant! It's gotten a little better since we told the relatives we don't want to have a 'present-giving competetion' anymore!

7. My hubby was brought up Catholic. Since his mother passed away, |
|
he hasn't really been in the mood for Christmas (she was really into 'blowing it out'). So, we started doing our exchanging (regardless of when Hanukkah comes for me) on New Year's Eve.

Try this on for size. Brought up to be Christian, stopped going to church at around age ten. Mom was a "Christian mystic" for lack of a better description. Not sure that I really believe in God, but I have all the baggage of thinking that I may go to hell if I don't believe. What to do? What to do? So Christmas is a little f***ed up for me. I just look at as a holiday to try and be nice to people and do nice things. Although we should all be doing those things for the other 364 days out of the year too. Anyway, Happy Holidays, stay safe and happy!
