I'm just sayin'. (spoilers)
Ooo, let's see, they spot each other on a train, then they try to take that train intentionally each day so they'll see each other. They talk, they flirt, they call each other. They each are unhappy in their marriages. They arrange to meet at the guy's friend's apartment in the city, but she just can't go through with it. (The physical act of cheating, even though they are already emotionally cheating.)
He gets a job transfer far away, begs to see her one last time just to say goodbye, she tries to see him, misses him.
Months later they see each other in a bookstore, they act all nice and formal, then say goodbye again.
Then they see each other on the same damn train, they embrace and kiss, the end.
Biggest let down of a movie I've ever seen. NOTHING HAPPENED! And I don't mean just physically, the movie was just VOID.
It's old, by the way, almost 20 years old.

1. It got terrible reviews |
|
when it came out.
I find that paying attention to reviews can be useful. That, and using your own common sense, life experience, and personal world view to figure out what movies are worth watching or books are worth reading.
