The family medical drama continues |
|
You might remember me posting about my 2-year-old having a coughing fit? Our doctor met us at the ER and ended up admitting him for several days because he was not moving oxygen.
This morning, my husband wakes me up with "I need for you to drive me to the emergency room." He was having horrible pain in his lower back and was sick to his stomach. So, at 7 a.m. I load him and the two kids into the car and head to the emergency room. Kidney stones.
They got him pumped up on various pain killers, but decided to keep him because he's a type 1 diabetic. With any luck, he'll pass the stones tonight. (Ouch!)
Here's hoping my family sees a little less of the American medical establishment in 2005. I'm really, *really* sick of someone always being sick!

my husband passed kidney stones two years ago, then was diagnosed with Type II diabetes. This after he was diagnosed with Hepatitus C. I hope you don't have any more health problems in your family!

but we DUers are with you ... in spirit. You and your family will be in my most positive affirmative comforting prayers for a healthier, stress-free future!
I'm not that great at comforting words, but my family and I are with you in spirt. Hang in there!

3. Wow, kidney stones are the WORST |

Can't tell you how I feel for your husband. That pain - man, I thought (and hoped....) I was going to die.
Indeed, here's to better times ahead in 2005 :toast:

5. Cornfield, I was wondering how your son was doing. I remember your |

post. I'm glad you wound up taking him to the hospital. Scary!
Hope your hubby passes those stones quickly so he'll be home soon.

6. Here's to passing that stone! |
|
My uncle, now gone, once shared the opinion that passing a stone HAD to be worse than 'passing' a child. Yeah, he was in pain. Here's to a healthier new year, CornField.

7. Best of everything to you Cornfield! |
|
I do hope this is just something you all laugh about in years to come!
BTW, did you know that cornsilk is used as a natural remedy to help disolve kidney stones. Yes, it actually disolves them from what I have heard. Met someone once who said he was thru with his stones after taking this. I thought it was a bit funny the way your user name kinda goes with cornsilk!
Anyway, best wishes to you and your hubbie and kids!
