6-8 inches, thanks Weather man, you jerk off!! |
|
The past several days, the local fools we call weather people kept saying,"well...we might get a little dusting at most Sunday morning, nothing to worry about folks, take those gifts back..."
There's no less than 6 inches of snow outside here in the Hampton Roads area (VA Beach got the dusting, all points west got blasted) 6am, nothing, 7am, nothing, 8:30am--hey :wtf: it's really snowing out there...:argh:
And onight it's gong to be really COLD, so laot of the snow and sludge will freeze over :scared: What a freaking MESS!

13. Exactly. "6-8 inches" and "jerk off" in the same sentence |
|
gives one some wrong imagery. :scared:

10. No, especially with all the technology, they don't know |

Weather prediction was better without all the gee whiz stuff, because weather forcasters had to use common sense. Now they can't. If they believe something will happen that the models don't show, they can't go with it no matter how silly it seems.

6-8 inches is average. It could be smaller!
(Sorry you live in Va Beach - I know everything STOPS when there is that much snow, even less!)

6. Did you know that prior to 1959, |
|
it was illegal to predit the weather in England. I used to live over there and because it's such a small land mass, it would attrack small weather fronts. Sunny at 8, raining by 10, sunny by noon, raining at 12, foggy at 2, sunny by 4. Oh but that's when the pubs opened again. Who cared. Just always carry an umbrella.
I had an ungodly experience driving in the sudden dusting in NE this afternoon. But it's not at all like an unexpected tsunami. Phew.

|
in Columbus we got about 4 inches of snow plus 5 hours of freezing rain. We were without electric for two days and our cable just came on this afternoon. Our back and front yards look like a jungle from all the branches breaking off. Great more work for me!
