Black works under certain circumstances, but white backgrounds are really much better for business sites. Or use an earthtone if you need a color, but I really recommend against black.
Try doing a search on competing sites, perhaps in other areas of the Country, and see what others have done.

with a lighter bg - the black makes it impossible. Otherwise, from what I could see, you're doing good! Websites are like anything else you 'create' - never finished. :hi:
