John Coltrane: one amazing talent! |
|
Edited on Sun Dec-26-04 10:54 PM by NightTrain
I'm listening to the "Best of Coltrane" CD that Progmom sent me for Xmas. I had heard Coltrane before and always liked his stuff, but tonight I'm really paying attention to the music. Suffice it to say, the man's playing has me in awe. Whether it's "Russian Lullaby," "The Way You Look Tonight," "Come Rain Or Come Shine," or "Bahia," Coltrane put his heart and soul into every note, and boy did it show! What a shame he died so young. :(

I play with a number of different musicians in a variety of combinations, and the one (and possibly only) thing we all agree on is Coltrane's brilliance.
