3. Rockin' with Regis, of course!
Not true, really. A very, VERY cool psych-noise band from Detroit are playing at an art gallery up the street from me, and I'm excited to see them perform again. And it saves me from having to drive.

7. Well,
as the old tradition says, whatever you are doing on New Year's Eve is what you will be doing the rest of the year, it is therefore easy to say that I will be watching TV, working on the computer, and falling asleep WAY too early.

8. Staying home and covering my ears
from all the fireworks going off around here, and the dogs barking as a result. Oh, and hoping my house doesn't catch on fire.

19. You must be out of city limits
I was last year, and the trailer park I lived in sounded like a fireworks warehouse had exploded. The guy who ran it didn't care, never mind that we have no fire hydrants out there. I called the county sheriff at 1 AM three days later and asked how many days they get to do fireworks after the holiday is over. They already had a car en route. The park I'm in now won't allow fireworks in the park. July 4th, I did have to complain about 2 kids, maybe 11 at the oldest, standing IN BETWEEN two trailers shooting fireworks. I had already called, but my husband opened the back door and confiscated what they had left (which wasn't much).

18. A quiet evening at home
For the last three years, we have failed to stay up until midnight - the longest we made it was 11:45 the first year. We'll give it another shot this year but I doubt we'll make it all the way. We'll either be playing board games, video games or dancing in the living room with candles lit.

21. My plans are in jeopardy
I am supposed to do chinese food w/ my best friend's family & play game, as they head back to memphis on Saturday. Then I'm supposed to swing by a big bash on the way home.

However, if I can't kick this chest cold (I think it's bronchitis), I will most likely end up watching the AbFab DVDs I got for Christmas w/ my roomie. Which, honestly, would be a great way to spend the night, too.
