My sister got engaged on Christmas Eve
It was a very interesting Christmas Eve. First, earlier in the day, her boyfriend of about 2 years, came to talk to my father, to ask him permission to marry his daughter. He got the permission. My sister and him came over for Christmas Eve dinner. Now picture it: Connecticut, a big Russian/Armenian family who are celebrating the wrong Christmas :), talking mostly in Russian, and my sister's boyfriend, who's American of Irish decent. Anywho, done with dinner, on to the presents, open all of them...only 1 left, small box from him to her. She's convinced it's a pair of earrings, unwraps the paper, comments on the pretty box, and opens the box. Her reaction was priceless, as was the rest of the family (I knew, my father told me ahead of time, so I can take pictures). She cried, she laughed, she screamed, she had a small seizure I think, and she said yes...then it was turn for mom to cry, and the aunt, and grandma, and even dad got teary eyed.

So it was a Merry Christmas!

12. That would be bad, yes.
I guess this would be one of those situations when you don't ask the question unless you already know the answer. :)

10. Thank you all for you warm words...I thought in this day and age...
..a nice story like that is what everyone wants to hear...The only downside, my sister is 22, I'm 26...so now I'm starting to hear "I can't believe your sister is going to get married before you, what are you waiting for?" ;)
