it's official...hard times have hit

me that is...new job is going okay, but it's straight commision and I only now have made money...but alas payday isn't till Tuesdaym, and I spent my last 35 cents on an issue of street corner...afterewards realizing the irony in spending my last 35 cents on a publication that has it's proceed go to help the homeless...anyway...ready for a boring weekend...sigh. WHo else is busted and what are you gonna do?

1. I'm paid monthly on the 1st...

...so, um, this time of month, cash is a little low.

So, I'm taking it easy this weekend, too. But, I'm still going out to a "Bring The Troops Home" rally on Sunday. I'm sort of broke, but not down to my last 35 cents, happily.

Plus, I have a credit card that I pay off monthly for emergencies.

nice little reminder of the unemployed days of college...they shall be paid by december though!

It's been a long road, but it's nice to see those balances decreasing. :-)

Of course, I'll put the money I am currently using to pay down my credit cards into the bank, and start building a bigger nest egg. :-)

Those two credit cards are being cut up when they are paid off. The two I have left, I can pay off in full every month.

Whatever reward I buy myself will have to be no more expensive than the money I spend on paying down my debts monthly. (Approx $250)

6. I'm broke in a different kind of way

I've got a little cash but here I am sitting in front of the computer after 9 PM on a Friday night and I've got no place to go and nobody to be with. I'm emotionally poor I guess you could say. I just moved off to college about 3 weeks ago and I haven't gotten to know anybody except my room mate and he's gone home for the week end. If you have a friend or significant other to be with then think of how much worse it could be. You could be broke and alone.

11. That's one of the problems

I'm thirty years old. I don't exactly fit in. And there's nothing to do on campus. The only other thing I can think of involves alcohol and it's a good little walk for that.
