I just discovered HBO on Demand |
|
And I Love Love Love it!!
If you have digital cable and one of the premium channels you can get HBO on demand.
I love Curb Your Enthusian but there are some of the earlier episodes I've not seen. Flip to On-Demand and there they all are - FREAKING FREE.
I also could have Cinemax and Showtime on Demand, but that's ok. I"m Happy Happy Happy with my HBO on demand.
I'll have to check out all the Bill Maher episodes I"ve missed - they're on there too!!!

3. My wife "discovered" it two weeks ago and it ROCKS! |
|
Yes it is really great. It is almost like having TiVo.
I've caught up on watching all the Bill Maher shows and Curd Your Enthusisasm and my wife is now watching a lot of Dead like Me.
Very cool. Have you checked out the sports part? Can you watch games you missed the weekend before?

6. It's new and improve Pay Per View |
|
With PPV it's a one shot deal. It's like renting a movie but you can FF or RW it and when it's done it disappears. With On-Demand I can rent the same movies you'll find on PPV but instead I get them for 24 hours, I can FF/RW/Pause or even replay the movie. Plus I have all sorts of channels on On-Demand that I can pick from and those shows are free. I can catch the NBC nightly news any time of the day and I have a whole bunch of those special interest networks (Racing, HGTV, Nat. Geo., BBC, etc.)
Well now the premium channels are jumping in. But you can only order the stuff on there if you have the channel or if you pay extra for it (trying to figure that out - I'd like to get Showtime if just for the Queer as Folks shows). HBO was just added to my On-Demand and they have about 3 dozen movies (free), many of their comedies and series (finally I can catch up on about 6-7 episodes of Six Feet Under that I missed), specials and most of their kids shows. They rotate their selection around because when you select the show it shows how much longer it'll be available on On-Demand.
It's just a great service!

I always froget what time things are on, and then play "find it" all week long as it bounces to the various HBO's..
I guess I will call them Monday..:)
We have the pay per view channels, but they are just movies..At least it looks like that to me
It's like a built in TIVO..:)
