Just got word that following a heart catheterization, yesterday AM, they discovered that Emory has a 95% blockage of his main coronary artery. Hence, tomorrow AM, he will be having a triple bypass procedure performed. Luckily, they are importing a hot-shit heart surgeon from St. Lukes Hospital, Bethlehem PA(One heck of a fine facility) and his risk factor is said to be 2%, due to his otherwise excellent physical condition.

That all said, there is still that damnable 2%, hence, tomorrow AM, if you guys could crank up your Good Vibes Generators, each in your own way and according to your beliefs, I sure would appreciate it.

Emory would do the same for you. He's just that kind of guy. The best-case, most operational word to describe him is "inspirational".

Because he really, really is. One of the best people any organized religion has to offer. Hard to believe he grew up in Falls Church and entered the ministry at the same time as Falwell. He even knows him. Strange how two guys, from the same town and same line of work, could be so different.

There may be a lesson there.

Hope all goes well. If he is in good shape like you say he is he should do fine. I used to take care of heart surgery patients in the ICU. They do amazingly well, especially if they are in good shape. Still, good vibes will be sent.
