3. That's what I do with my charcoal smoker!
Build the fire on one end, add soaked hickory chunks, forget it for three to five hours. Much easier clean up, too.

4. I have one. It roasts the best chicken I've ever had.
Problem 1: It's too big to keep out on the counter so I forget it even exists.
Problem 2: Not a problem for me, but before I remodeled the kitchen it would have be a storage nightmare.

Otherwise, it's true. You set it and forget it for wonderful chicken (the only thing I've tried.) I saw a smaller version by the same maker at Target tonight. That's the one I would buy.

and purchased this out of desperation so my kids could have meat or something hot besides spaghettios and it works great. You can't really set it and forget it though. The first night we had it we sat and watched it spin around and around. And even things I would not normally make cuz too much grease and stuff, I make it in here and it all drips away. And things don't take that long to cook.

I can work it and not burn anything and for that I'm truely thankful!

Actually, I have the smaller version. I forget what I paid for it, but it was well worth it.

The small one doesn't take up very much space... about 14" wide x 10" high x 8" deep.

When I first got it, I used it at least once a week (new toy... must play with). B-)

Now I probably use it a couple of times a month.

Cleaning it is much easier if you line the drip pan (both sections), with aluminum foil (punch a few holes through the foil on the upper section).

The top of the rotisserie gets very hot! I found this out after I left an oven mitt on top and it started to burn (there's an accessory kit that lets you use the top for cooking ot heating other items).

The messiest part to clean is the "basket". I usually use it for chicken parts (wings, thighs, legs), and sirloin strips. I use a lot of barbecue sauce which is responsible for 90% of the mess.

and I have just about worn it out. It works very well on just about anything and everything I have tried it on. The only thing I have found is the "18 minutes per pound" thing is really more like 20, but what the hell, it's great!

not Popeil's, and it does work extremely well. And I know people with this one, and it works well.

I've also done beef and pork roasts in it, and they came out great.

However, I don't have much time any more to watch this gizmo roasting for two or more hours, and the supermarkets around here are selling excellent rotisserie chickens for not much more than raw ones go for, so it gets a lot less use.

And, I get really, really good results for pot roasts in my crockpot, with less cleanup.

I love that informercial! Love it. The food looks so good, the machine looks so easy, and if I didn't make everything in a big old toaster oven, I'd even cough up the easy payments. Popeil rules.

we use it maybe once or twice a month. I want to start using it more.

It's easy, and the chickens and turkeys and pork chops we've done were wonderful!

Cleanup is pretty easy.
