5. Nope...you are overqualified. |
|
And won't be hired.
Trust me. I've seen that happen a lot of times to people who went bust in the tech job exodus. They have a BA and Wal-Mart and other McJobs don't want people who really have an education.

Restaurants are always hiring and once you get through the first couple of weeks it is possible to make decent money. It isn't the easiest job in the world but the hours are usually flexible and the potential is there to make a fair bit of cash.

8. lets see now minimum wage = 5.75 $ per hour |
|
in 1970 it was ? something like 1.75 & if everything else has gone up 10-20% except the price of a swell slave made T.V. it should be atleast 11.75 $ an hour, oops I forgot C.E.O. repuke's wages have gone up 200% thats what happened to progress. Where should we all flip bugers ? it may be the only food we get when we live on the streets.

Just got a degree in the supposed "most needed" profession in America: nursing. Had a killer GPA, great references, plenty of teaching and management experience. All the 20-something party girls from my class have jobs. I have received numerous rejection letters and one recruiter requested an interview but has not contacted me again despite repeated phone calls.
I don't have a record either! I thought these people were falling over each other for RNs!! Jeez...that's what I get for saying "I won't have trouble finding a job" for the past 6 semesters. Jinxed myself...
At this point, I think I am "too old" or something. That, and I am NOT willing to travel.
Good luck in your job search. Maybe I'll see you out there :)

10. It's all part of the phantom recovery that Bush keeps touting. Those out |
|
in the trenches actually trying to find a job know that the recession never ended, at least for the non-investment class. Things may look better at the top of the economic food chain, but down here it is very bleak. But as long as Chimpy keeps telling the big lie, and as long as the MSM keeps reporting it as gospel, things will never change and will probably get worse.
