My guess is that you're looking at about an eight hour wait. Try not to eat anything stinky. Hit the Cheerios and the butterscotch pudding, and you'll probably be ok.

Are you going to tell your dentist how you found your crown?

and chase it with some prunes and lots of water. Once you've worked your way through that, if if doesn't show up, you can pretty much assume that it's either stuck someplace or you somehow missed it.

It will likely be recovered and is "cost effective if you don't mind the indgnity". Plus, you will want to know it came out--if not, get an xray to be sure it isn't lodged somewhere dangerous. good luck.
