Bill Moyers' "The Secret Government" video segment

It aired on PBS in 1987 and is as good as anything on the tape (must see). Moyers is a very respected TV journalist who also worked for Lyndon B. Johnson and has a very professional approach. He interviews many different people involved with the CIA and other government agencies. His documentary gives quite an overview of what has actually happened in the last 50 years regarding the CIA and the cold war. The full video "The Secret Government" is 90 minutes - this segment is edited by Frank Dorrel to 20 minutes.

3. The Reichstag documentary is over-simplifying

The case is not yet decided (LIHOP and MIHOP are both still being discussed; most historians acknowledge the "IHOP").
AFAIR no gasoline residue was found; the best bet on what was used to start the fire are the nameplates of the house members, which were coated with an inflammable varnish.

The interesting part is, that a SA man accused van der Lubbe during the trial of using those nameplates to start the fire - no investigator hinted that and Lubbe did not give any details on how he started the fire.
So how did the SA man get that idea...

PS: There was a outsatanding documentary on German TV a short while ago- it probably will be translated. Especially the re-examination of the evidence with modern methods was interesting.
