What Type(s) of Music Can Make You Cry? |
|
Classical music is the only type of music that's ever made me shed a tear. I don't know what it is. The music speaks so much more than words can, I guess.

2. Ben Folds: "Give Judy My Notice" |
|
The Faces: "Ooh La La" Randy Newman: "Sail Away"
Piano and acoustic guitar music makes me cry, as long as the vocalist knows how to reach those emotional g spots.

9. You should get your belly button pierced. |
|
Why?
Well just to see.
To see what?
To see how painful it is.
Don't fiddle with it Eddie it'll go septic.

12. "Imagine" by John Lennon |
|
The lyrics remind me of what humankind COULD be... and how far short we fall from John's vision. Gets me every time! BTW, this was on my Christmas card this year... Imagine all the people, living life in peace... Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can No need for greed or hunger, a brotherhood of man Imagine all the people, sharing all the world... You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one.

14. Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, and bagpipes |
|
Knowing the history behind the music, I often get all misty-eyed at the plight of the Russians in the 1812.
Bagpipes can bring me to my knees. I don't know why. Even McCartney's Mull of Kintyre makes me bawl like a little girl.
