Just got a horrible phone call |
|
My godmothers' brother-inlaw commited suicide. Doused himself with gas ate a bullet and fell into the fire pit. He left a note and his doctor confirmed he had inoperable brain cancer. Two kids 19 and 22. What a crappy way to start a week-end.

ate a bullet? Where was the fire pit he fell into? I am not trying to do anything inappropriate if you may get that view, but it is just something so strange as hell I couldn't even imagine and I do have a good imagination.

4. I think by ate a bullet the writer means he shot himself |
|
And arranged to have his body fall into a firepit in the hope that he would creamate himself and save his family the bother of burying him. May his soul find the peace he so desperately deserves.

9. Sincerely, I am so very sorry for your loss. |
|
If it helps, and it probably won't just now, my own mother committed suicide as well...on Thanksgiving, no less, just to ensure years of unhappy memories for that particular holiday, I guess.
Again, I am so sorry for your loss, your trauma and I send you my love.

16. I know you feel anger but she |
|
was in an awful state when this happened. Please don't feel anger to her or guilt to you. Me or you cannot imagine what makes a person end it all.

I meant to comfort you and you end up comforting me!
I do realize my mother was in a terrible, desperate, awful place.
The anger and the guilt are hard to shake, however.
Thank you so much for being such a special person and I wish I could have been of some comfort to you as well...

I'm really sorry for your godmother's family. Sincerest sympathies.
Please understnad that it may not have been just fear and depression that did this to him; his mind may not have been right, the cancer may have affected his judgment center in the brain for him to leave his wife this way. (I'm guessing.)

15. So right. My dad SEEMED okay up til the end, but we in the |
|
family knew he didn't retain his clarity of thought before the end.
This is a very important consideration, especially for his wife who is in such pain right now.
God bless you, Swede; I'm so very sorry.

I am so sorry, what a ghastly tragedy, and how awful for the family.
I concur with what others said about the brain cancer eroding his thinking.
Light and love to you and yours, Swede.
