|
Tied with 2003.
Do you think 2004 is the worst year of your life as well?

4. Dec 2003 lost my job, after 5 months of being unemployed and |
|
being denied unemployment insurance I was forced to take a job that pays 50% less than what I was making.. What I've learned in this new world with the anti labor cons in control is that you don't ever admit to being hurt on the job and don't file for workman's compensation while healing from two broken wrists from a bad fall.

9. I'm right with you. Unemplyed 9 months in 2003. 2004 - unemployed |
|
9 months and then hit with 3 hurricanes. I'm a Poeplesoft programmer, and they are being bought out by Oracle. Goodby career - what there was of it.

12. Another failed year for me... |
|
I'm afraid I've failed on all my 2004 life changes...
1) Supposed to clean lint tray in clothes dryer / Never did
2) Really meant to clean keyboard of food crumbs / Maybe later
3) Still need new mailbox...
4) Used to hate to talk to people / Still do
5) Lost my lucky lighter
Need I go on....my life is a shambles.

14. I'm so glad the year is finally ending |
|
It's been crappy for me too: car accident (not my fault), favorite dog got cancer, more debt than I've ever had in my life, Bush keeping his slimy hold of the White House once again . . . . I spent so much time volunteering for the Kerry campaign so that loss was particularly painful.

|
Sorry-ass stinking year ....
- Marriage with love of my life is on the ropes after 14 years
- Father died unexpectedly
- Son failed grade after being in gifted program at start of year
- Selfish, short-sighted idiots hold sway in national elections
- No one to help me, no one I can trust anymore

lots of worst years. 1988, 1995, 1999 all stand out. It's been gettin better ever since. I'm confidently looking forward to 2005 to be the besst yet. Personally speaking, of course.

17. 2004 was a terrible year for me. |
|
Lost my dad and two dear friends.
2003, lost my sister in law
2002, lost my mom.
The whole millenium has really not been good for me, personally.

I'm so sorry to hear about your losses and the losses of others on this board! I lost my father on Jan. 2, 2001 ... he had been ill for a year, and I was so glad to see that he made it to the new year. He would have appreciated living to 2001 (he was a sci-fi buff).
A year later, my beloved feline buddy, Cinders, had to be put to sleep (she was 19).
I mention this only to say I understand somewhat what you're saying (though there's no doubt you've suffered greatly).
*** To answer the question, my worst year was 1992 and most of the 90s! I became suddenly ill in February of 1992 and stayed very ill for years ... I was in constant pain until 1998, and the pain didn't subside completely until 2000. It's so sad ... I'm only in my 30s, but I have little memory of the 90s. I was so sick.

18. No, 1997 was my all time worst year |
|
In 44 years of pretty lousy years. In 1997 -
my 15 year old daughter got pregnant I got thrown out of my house (I rented and it was sold - new owner kicked me out) I was diagnosed with cervical cancer and I wound up in a nuthouse for a week :silly:
That was a bad year.....

2004 is bad, but it doesn't compare to the following:
In order from the worst to the least:
1968 1980 1984 1991 1992 1993 1999 2000 2001 2003 2004

|
Smirking Fraud continues to mislead, Tsunami kills 100k and U.S. to offer fraction of money spent on coronation, torture by superpower, record year for foreclosures and bankruptcies, religion's alliance with corrupt regime, swift boat liars, national budget deficit, trade deficit, declining $, outsourcing, dead soldiers in Iraq, Bin Laden taunts, fake uproar over TV morality while homelessness grows, AIDS in Africa, Israel's murders, and the prospect that 2005 WILL BE WORSE.
