2. So far, it's only been positive for us
Edited on Wed Dec-29-04 09:30 AM by BleedingHeartPatriot
Movies arrive like clockwork, user friendly website, very cost effective compared to our previous renting costs. (we rent ALOT of movies). The selection is improving, we noticed we can now get more older and classic movies than we could a few months ago. MKJ

3. Love NetFlix. And I highly recommend it.
And if you live in Georgia, where their major distribution center is, there is a 24-hour turnaround time.

8. Georgia isn't the only distribution center, they have large ones
all over.

Most of my movies come from and are returned to Massachusetts (in fact, the distribution center is only about 20 miles from my house).

4. I like it
What I like best is that i end up watching lots of movies I wouldn't think to rent at a brick and mortar shop. I get stuff that just sounds like it might be good. I've made some great discoveries :)

5. I had issues but they seemed to have worked out....
I first joined I would say 2-3 years ago and was dissapointed. My movies would get lost in the mail when they were sent to me or when I sent them back. So I cancelled. Then I rejoined again a few months later. That issue had worked itself out but then my problem was that I would list movies on my queue and arrange my returns so that I would get mailed new releases on the day they came out, but then would find that they sent me movies that were much lower on my priority list. So I cancelled again.

I rejoined about 6 months ago for a third time and now all the kinks seem to have been worked out. I get new releases soon after they come out, and returns and mailings are seemless.

9. Yes, that is all. And to give you an idea of the type of company...
I had been paying $22 or $23, whatever it had been. I was fine with that since the price made it still worth while to someone like me who rented a lot of movies anyway. But then out of nowhere they e-mailed and said that they were lowering their price to $17. I was shocked. But happy.

Bottom line, yes I am pleased with the service. Now that they have more distribution centers around the country things seem to work more seemlesly.

10. No charge for postage, all prepaid. Also, no contractual obligation.
I gave some of my friends pre paid 2 month subscriptions,as gifts, because I'm so impressed by the service myself. MKJ

7. I have nothing bad to say, only good :)
And I have a rental queue with over 100 movies in it :).

Occasionally, a disk will get damaged in shipping, etc. But there's no charge to the customer, and if you notify them on their site, they send a replacement out ASAP.

All in all, a totally superior service :).

11. Do not rent multi-part movies from them....
If you want to rent Lawrence of Arabia (2 Discs..) they consider that two separate rentals whereas any self-respecting video store would never get away with that.

Another one...The Godfather box set...be careful you don't accidentally select the "all about the Godfather CD"..instead of the movie...

Sometimes the movies are seriously scratched and according to their rules unless you report it back to them...they may charge you for the damage.

Otherwise it is a good system.

16. I haven't had any problem when I have received damaged
disks. All you do is check the boxes on the sleeve it was unplayable and you want a replacement.

14. It works for me!
Quick turnaround & a great selection.

I especially enjoy catching up on TV shows I missed--those boxed sets are quite expensive. Have had no trouble getting disks in a set to arrive in the right order.

15. the wife and I love it
It rocks. We love renting movies and stuff.

We rented the 3rd and 4th season of Sopranos and loved it.

If you are lucky enough to live in a city with a distribution hub, like we are, the turn around time is usually only 2 days. Drop movie in mail on Monday and we get a new one by Wednesday.

We also gave two 3 month subscriptions as gifts this Christmas! The recipients LOVED the gift.

Happy watching!

17. Love it--it saves me a trip to the videostore, getting my
toddler in and out of her carseat, and I don't have to pay late fees.

18. Works great for us - Although the Texas distribution center
that we use since the move to OK is questionable. i.e., "Outfoxed" came to us totally smashed (granted, it could be a coincidence), and movies used to regularly get to us a day before they said they would, now that's only about 30% of the time.

I'm glad we spend the money on it. However, since we don't have any television reception here at all, that may color my viewpoint.

19. I love them
The selection is great, and the distribution center is here in Austin so we have a fast turnaround time. Though for some reason the post office has to ship them out of Austin before they can get to the distribution center. I haven't got a clue what sort of demented rule that is. They are the only I know of that has such a great selection of Bollywood movies
