That's a big move.......I moved to the WC (Portland)5 years ago from the south (Memphis, New Orleans) and I love it here. Been down to SF many times.....I love it there, and I have quite a few friends there also.

SF is very expensive.....but then, NY is outrageous, so that won't be too much of a shock for you.

SF is absolutely beautiful....if it is a positive move, and you are bettering yourself by moving, embrace it with open arms. I think you will love the WC life......healthy and enlightened.....seems like it will fit your personality just right...:)
