1. Shouldn't that be "thought"? |
|
Congrats on the naturalization!

How is flashing the finger better than a "flame war" on a political discussion board? :eyes:

9. What is your definition of a "flame war"? |
|
BTW - don't you think a post giving everyone the bird is a flame?

The picture is my visceral and mental reaction to 'flame wars', and here is my definition of a flame war:
"Flaming is reacting to someone's newsgroup posting or e-mail in a hostile manner by publicly chastising the person or by bombarding the person with nasty e-mails or public postings. Flaming may also occur to users who ask empty, snide or purposefully inflammatory or insulting questions or who otherwise engage in behavior that violates what is generally considered and accepted as proper online netiquette. A flame war occurs when two or more users flame each other in an escalating manner that threatens to continue unabated and which is disruptive to an entire newsgroup or bulletin board."

"Shut the Fuck Up" are certainly a contrast to the sentiment of your sig line.
I much prefer the signature line.

I mistakenly (honest!) posted that in GD on Saturday after I couldn't read the threads in legitimate posts without finding the other 4 or 5 legitimate posts I intended to read next BURIED 5 or 6 pages back due to the flame wars! I was 'sh*t fed up', as they say here in corn country!
My bad! :P
