My daughter just asked me, out of the blue, "Did John Kerry win?"

I was wrapping and packing away some Christmas dishes, and all of a sudden my five-year-old looked up and said, "Did John Kerry win?"

Me: No, honey. He didn't.

Daughter: Oh. Who did?

Me: President Bush.

Daughter (whispering): Is he the one that lies?

Me: Many people believe he does, yes.

Daughter: Oh. Is it okay if I can think John Kerry won?

I didn't even know how to answer that one. I just gave her a hug.
