my boyfriend has some friends I can't stand. I'm not even sure HE likes them very much, but they've known each other a long time. Last night we all got together for the annual christmas gift exchange. They insisted I come, and being the dutiful girlfriend, I did.
His present? A Shrek DVD. Doesn't sound TOO bad, does it? Well, they borrowed his original copy of Shrek a year ago and their little brat destroyed it.
So they replaced it. With wrapping paper on it and called it a gift.
He had bought them a number of nice gifts. I made sure he distributed the nicer of the gifts to OTHER people at the get-together and the cheap-ass friends got a couple of little gee-gaws. Dumbasses.
