Not wanting to be a "spoiler" but the story is so old that I don't think "spoiler/for plot" applies here.

What did you guys think of this movie if you saw it. (Maybe I missed the early reviews because we just got it here in NC.)

What was your reaction/feeling about that movie?

1. Early reviews
were very favorable...I think Depp can be brilliant, but then again, he can be a dud. I'm anxious to see this particular flick due to early buzz about his performance as well as that of the children & Kate Winslet.

Not really a rendition of Peter Pan. It's a bio of Barry that took much poetic license about his life and inspiration for writing Pan.

But Johnny Depp is hot AND a grat actor, and Kate Winslow is non-offensive. The sets are lovely. It's kind of a tear-jerker. I think it will be more effective as a big screen experience than a video rental.

So I liked it. But then again, I'm sappy. A guy sitting near me in the theater snored all the way through it.

3. Yeah...it's a very sad movie...but very interesting. We were looking for
something "different" last night and passed by the "Fockers" (is that the name of it?) for "Neverland."

It's more an "art film." It left me chokeing back sobs ('cause I hate to cry "on cue" in the movies) but I can't imagine someone so crass as to fall asleep..unless it was a Repug...who of course missed the whole point of the movie...

If you believe in Fairies...CLAP YOUR HANDS!!!

Sadly...I've always believe in hope and Fairies...good and bad..so I did like this movie even though it's "darker" than maybe the reviewers are saying..

4. I saw it yesterday.
I LOVED it.

Of course, I am not your usual film fan; I don't often see something I really like; usually, it's "ok," or it stank. Don't take my recommendation!

I don't think it is supposed to be an accurate biographical portrait of Barrie, but uses the process of creating "Peter Pan" to highlight the themes of the play in the character's lives. Johnny Depp turned in a great performance, and "Peter" did as well; I understand the boy who played Peter is also playing Charlie to Depp's Willy Wonka.

6. I thought it was very well done.
They changed some of the real-life events a bit for entertainment purposes, but overall I thought it was very well done. If you're remotely close to a crier, bring tissues. I'm someone who never, and I mean, never, cries at movies, and I was almost on the brink of tears.

Depp was very good, as was the little kid who played Peter. Definitely worth checking out.

7. I loved the movie
The movie and the performances made laugh, cry, think and wonder. What more could you ask from a film. BTW I enjoy that force me to think about tragedy and death.
