Do you look like who you are?

I am a raging long haired hippie, but I cut all the hair off after my first contract, because I thought it could only work against me. So I try to look corporate, because that is what they expect to see.

Also, I was curious to see how people judge me. Most only judge according to looks, very few bother to find out who you are.

Now that I've stopped trying to look like who I thought I was supposed to be. When I turned 30 I started dying my hair unnatural colors, and getting piercings and tattoos. I work for a fairly conservative consulting firm, and I get a lot of strange looks, but I have ceased to care.

The only thing about me I don't think looks like me is my age. I don't feel 38, so when I pass a mirror I'm constantly startled to see that I'm not in my early 20s...and kinda bummed out.

69. Unfortunately, no.....no matter how much....

we try, neither, Mr. Tikki nor I can shake the physical appearance of being Conservatives.

Even during our hard core Punk days I looked like Anita Bryant in a black leather jacket and Mr. Tikki, well, I can't tell you how many times he has been mistaken for a Narc.

It's the hair and makeup and clothing thing, I believe. Mr. Tikki has that pure white redneck mane, ala your average tele-evangelist, and wears western cut shirts and blue jeans and I, simply, have always had big hair and wear those well made designer clothes from the 70's and 80's that I find in thrift stores.

If you can get past the first physical impression, you will find one of the most dedicated and informed liberal couple you will ever meet.
