Why do people wear perfume these days? |
|
In the pre-plumbing days when it wasn't easy to bathe, it's obvious people reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally wanted to shroud the stink back in the supposed "good old days".
But why keep the trend, now that we've had indoor plumbing for a very long time now?

3. It's still not easy to bathe |
|
You have to get the water just right, remove your clothes, bend over, get your feet and back - it's so annoying.

I hate being around people, male or female, who smell perfumy. Most of them seem to bathe in the stuff! Gag, retch!

9. They are obviously wearing too heavy of a scent. |
|
I like the frangrance called "Romance". I use the cologne, and you would need to have your face close to my neck to notice as it is quite lite. In my teen years, the smell of British Sterling on a man would drive me crazy!

7. They want to smell good? |
|
I used to dab the tiniest bit on my neck and when my kids were little, they would snuggle up and say you smell good mommy! That was good enough for me! Now that they're big horses, I don't dab it on anymore but if i did I'm sure they'd relive a good childhood memory, although they're sure big and smelly now!

I usually put on a little bit of Stetson, Grey Flannel, or Domain (a Mary Kay mens' cologne) before I go to work. I look on cologne as a deodorant booster.

... but only in serious moderation.
If your sense of smell is that of a 80 year old woman, please use one tenth of the cologne/perfume you are now using. :)

and really strong. Whew ! But, I still put on a little white Shoulders or Gardenia or Plumeria during the day, just a little. For special occasions, I love Carolina Herrera. Yummy.
