near the Coop? That's my freshman Store 24... the square has changed a lot since those days. I heard the Varsity (cop type donut shop) and the Mug 'n' Muffin (greasy spoon where I used to go have eggs 'n' hash before exams after being up all night studying or writing papers) are gone. :cry:

34. I grew up in Harvard Square; they are LONG gone
My friends and I were banned from the Mug 'n' Muffin when we were kids.

The Tasty is gone too. Harvard Square is very gentrified. But Nini's corner, Cardullo's and the Harvard Book Store are still there. What years were you in Cambridge?

38. Mid 80's. Such a "Micky you're so fine" time. Haven't been back
for a billion years, but an old college bud is back living in Brookline now so I must visit. Plus my billionth year class reunion is coming up this year. I miss Cambridge/Boston, and actual liberals!
