If you won the lottery, do you have any friends, relatives, ex's... |
|
that would suddenly be buddy-buddy or love you again, and feel entitled to a chunk of change? I have a couple of ex-girlfriends that would fall hopelessly in love with me again, and an ex-sister in law that would expect me to enrich her, just because. Anyone you know like that?

6. yep, people that do win have strangers write and beg for money too. |
|
That is why lottery winners usually go to an attorney first and set up a trust fund before cashing in. I have thought about "what if" and have figured that I would most definitely buy a mountain in Tennessee first, nothing too big but big enough I could burro down into it and build on top. Also would install electrical fencing . . . . .:tinfoilhat:
Then I would set up another trust fund for the American homeless/hungry and world disaster victims. Trust fund would be non-profit and based in Switzerland. AND if friends asked for money, I would employ them in the disaster relief effort. . . . .B-)

An abusive bitch even after I inherited from my father. She actually got $10K, even though they were divorced, but she thought herself entitled to some of mine. She was shocked when abuse didn't get it. Apparently she thought that was just the way I was supposed to be treated, because she was shocked when I walked out and wouldn't have anything to do with her. Even when she figured out that she should be nice, I wasn't listening. I used the money for college and to start my own business. The business died, but it was better than giving it to her.
If I ever won the lottery, she'd appear again, I'm sure. I'd have a restraining order slapped on her, and she'd be all confused as to why I hate her so. I'd have my therapist explain it to her. ("Well, you see, it seems that you're a narcissistic moral monster. No, that's my diagnosis, not your daughter's.")

10. sorry to hear about your *other, I cannot believe that there are people |
|
on this earth that actually think it's all about them. I have a girlfriend like that and she just really pisses me. I feel bad for her husband but he knew what the package contained when he married it, so it seems his is self-inflicted. . . . unlike you.

A rough estimate would be about 60-70 family members crawling out of the woodwork suddenly claiming to be very close to me. If word really got out, I might even hear from people I went to high school and college with MANY years ago.

14. well, I've remarried now, but... |
|
I bet my ex-wife would like to be buddy-buddy again. The last time we spoke was in March or April of 2001 - 9 months after the divorce was official and maybe 18 months after she filed for divorce - and I had just found a new job after not liking my prior one... she knew I wasn't happy at my old job and rather than saying "congratulations" on my new job, her first question was, "how much money are you making now?"
Of course, when she filed for divorce, she thought I should thank her because she didn't max out ALL the credit cards.

16. yes, my sister in law goes through money like a starving dog |
|
goes through a good steak. She raised her two kids like that also. My brother wouldn't expect a cent. The first thing I would do is give a good chunk to the humane societies around here.
