Got my 2005 Farmer's Almanac nailed above the john
Anyone else here an Almanac Maniac? I used to buy the World Almanac & Book of Facts every year, but couldn't bear to this year because it has Bush as one of the cover pics, and validates his existence. It's too official and mainstream for me. Used to be a great reference otherwise. Guess I can use Google to find the GNP of Upper Volta, eh?

Going rural-retro with the Farmer's Almanac. Has great weather forecasts for the meteorologist in all of us, cool recipes, offbeat articles, corny ads, and trivia galore. Great outhouse reading, hence the nail hole punched into every one of 'em!

What is your almanac of choice?

1. Better not tell Homeland Security
weren't they supposed to be on the lookout for people with these subversive books?

2. I swear by the almanac.
It's holier than the bible in this house.
