I've been on DU about 6 months now, and I keep seeing the same polls again and again. Of course they're not all exact dupes, but that's what makes it so annoyingly deja vu-ish.

2. I don't know about polls

but it seems like every other day someone posts this in the lounge:

"You're so vain.." (open the thread)

"I bet you think this thread is about you."

I've started to wonder if the people who do this really haven't seen all the same exact joke threads like that or if it is just some stupid lounge thing...repeat the same tired joke over and over? I don't know...but when I see a thread titled "You're (or your!) so vain" I don't even touch it. I already know, yuk, yuk, yuk.

5. At times there have been some nice running gags here

Running gags are great unless you are new here and have no idea what they are about.
It is our duty to keep them alive ( wave flags)
