I'm watching the "Ellen" show today and I have a question. |
|
She's doing this nice tribute to our servicemen and servicewomen in Iraq. Is anyone else watching this?
My question: is Rush Limbaugh doing anything like this? On his show? Sean Hannity? On his show? I mean, since these people were so gung fucking ho about getting involved in this bullshit war. One would think that THEY would be devoting THEIR shows to giving our troops a little bit of thanks.
Just curious

1. They're so gung-ho that they believe that nothing could go wrong |
|
Nobody dies, military or civilian, except the ones we want to die, no cities got destroyed, and all the Iraqi people love us. More "clear thinking" from the far right.

3. They support war, not soldiers |

Soldiers are just a necessary drain on halliburton's resources.

5. Thanks for what? Brutalizing the Iraqi people? Being part |
|
of the neocons plan for the New American Century? Being cannon fodder for the Bush Crime Family, while Bush's cronies make billions of Dollars off their sacrifice.
How about a simple BRING THE TROOPS HOME? What better tribute could she give those whose sense of duty places them in a position where common decency demands they be brought home at once?
We are not going to "win" in Iraq. The Iraqi people did nothing to us. We have killed over a hundred thousand of their civilians and maimed countless more for life, while devastating their country and destroying what means they had to make a living for themselves and their families.
It's not a question of when we're going to be kicked out of Iraq. It's a matter of how many more of our good people and how many more innocent Iraqi civilians are going to be sacrificed before we pack up and leave a country we never should have invaded in the first place.
Bring the troops home! They are not "liberating" Iraq. They are not "protecting" us -- they are being forced to risk their lives for an ill-conceived, immoral invasion and sewing seeds of hatred which will plague this nation for decades to come.
Bring the troops home!

6. Hannity did do a charity concert/show for soldier's children |
|
Near the end of the summer. It raised money for a sholarship for children who lost a parent in "The war on terror" (that includes Iraq in his book).
Other than that I haven't heard them do anything.

7. Those Shows Also Serve to Plug His Books and Radio & TV Shows |
|
Hannity never does anything simply to be nice to his fellow man. He only does them if they benefit him financially.
