The detective that I reported that awful website to yesterday...

Thank you for the information but the proper group to handle this
type of offense is our Child Explotation Unit at 214-671-4211.

I will forward your email to them as well.

Thanks again,

Allen E. Lash, #6190

Hopefully the sorry bastards will be shut down. Child Exploitation works for me...I know it's not flat out porn, but that can't be healthy for those girls.

7. ET Awful was looking for pictures of puppies
He came across pictures of obviously young girls (pre-teen) in provactive situations. They even sold DVDs of them. The site was based in Dallas, so I reported it to Dallas PD Computer Crimes. The response I got was relating to my reporting.

9. Notice that Detective Lash referred to it as an offense, that would
seem to indicate that he thinks there is an actual crime being committed.

21. I think she's been on Oprah about this - with her mom
http://www.oprah.com/relationships/relationships_content.jhtml?contentId=con_20030512_childmodel.xml§ion=Family&subsection=Parenting

It caused a lot of talk back then. Click on the link and look for the gallery button.

If I remember correctly, mom was in denial about why the site was so popular and the intentions of the people who frequent the site.

Oprah: You're just worried about whether or not somebody can contact her, being able to protect her specifically.

Tracy: She is my only thought.

Oprah: So you're not thinking about all the men who are looking at those pictures, and what they might be doing with those pictures, and what, as a result of looking at those pictures, they might be doing to another little girl?

Tracy: I do think about that. How many child actresses do we have that are on television, or that do print work?

Oprah: Child actresses aren't accepting clothes from 50 year old men to try on.

26. Several years ago, an internet group I am a member of got involved
in trying to shut down a pedophile group. I think we were recruited in a roundabout way by a representative of the group Better a Millstone. See, what happened was that some guy came to our discussion board and posted some lewd things about children, and then someone ELSE posted that they knew who that guy was, and "here is his website!" So, our group, which was mostly women with families/children, checked out the site, and it was disgusting! Like the site you found, it walked the line, legally, but it was DEFINITELY a place for pedophiles to meet on the net and talk about their "friends," though they talked about them in totally platonic terms.

Suddenly the guy who busted him, gave us a link to Better a Millstone, and a bunch of us got into a letter writing campaign to get the pedophiles' website shut down. AND, they had an affiliate account with Amazon.com for books about Man-Boy Love. Oh, man, it still makes me shudder to think about it. So, we got their ISP to boot them, and Amazon to drop them.

Anyway, this was years ago, so I thought I'd look up the site to see what they were up to, and see if you or I should submit the info you found. It was kind of a vigilante site. They tracked sex-offenders, published their photos, names, and addresses, and actually were responsible for quite a few arrests. So, I couldn't find the site anyway, but I remembered the guy's name was Mike Echols. he's the same guy who wrote the book "I know My Name Is Steven." Well, it turns out HE just died in prison last year, and that's why the site is no more!

It's a strange story too. Here it is...

Activist, author Echols dies in jail

By JOE LIVERNOIS
jlivernois@montereyherald.com

Mike Echols, the volatile author who wrote the best-selling book about the Steven Stayner abduction, died in Monterey County Jail on Friday.

Sheriff's officials say Echols was found dead in the isolation cell at the jail about 11:40 p.m. Friday. Echols had a history of bad health, and complained bitterly during the past several weeks that law enforcement officials were ignoring his medical needs while he was in jail.

(snip)

"They're trying to kill me in here," Echols said during a telephone interview from jail on Tuesday. "It's like I'm living a Kafka novel."

(snip)

Even before he wrote the books, the former social worker founded a child-advocacy group called "Better a Millstone," which in recent years has actively pursued pedophiles who use the Internet.

27. as gross as it is, this is totally normal in the modeling business. ...
ten years ago, people would take their kids to a bullshit agency and be milked of a few thousand dollars for a "portfolio" to get her started in the business. They would pretend the would help the kid get work even if the re wasn't a chance in hell. Now that people can take the porfolio into their own hands w/ digital camera, i guess some are taking it to an exploitive extreme. i find the decriptions really repulsive and believe this guy knows he is pandering to pedophiles. but the images are no more provaoctive than what we see every day, are they?

remember how britney posed in the school girl uniform in rolling stone... that was way more provocative than these shots--- and it made her career! remember brooke shields nudes at what 11 or 12?
I worked with child models 8-11 years ols, and we just did fittings, but most wanted to be famous, maybe dancers or pop stars too. and they'd show up in provocative clothes, full makeup and wanting guys attention.... they may not understand all the implications, but the kids are trying to be sexy at a much younger age these days- because it sells. the only level headed kisd we worked with was a friends daughter, a few years ago they were considering selling pants with the words scrawled on the butt (which are very common now). she said her mom wouldn't let her wear them, and she agreed that she was to young for people to have an excuse to stare at her butt. common sense.
shame this girl fell in with people wanting to exploit her, but i can't imagine what is illegal about it. CD/DVD 's are the standard now to disseminate images instead of portfolios in a lot of areas. I'm not suprised someone's doing it, it's just sad the way they are doing it with that weird come hither alluring language. it is gross.

28. It's normal to offer legitimate modeling samples, headshots, etc.
to legitimate outlets such as magazines, casting agencies, etc. It's not normal to offer them with lurid descriptions to anonymous people on the internet.

30. I'm saying the photos themselves I saw were as tame as anything out there
it's the way that they are marketing that's offensive and lurid. i said that.
it is digusting, but i doubt it's illegal at all.
famous kids those twins, brooke, britney, have all done this but they have an actual career that i guess makes people accept more easily that they are being marketed in this way. but isn't britney et al the ones inspiring this phenomenon? i'm not sure that britney has a career because of her great voice, it seems to me to be based more on the provocative photos done when she was still quite young. at least that's what the original buzz/ attention was all about!
it was interesting working with the kids, as there were really two tracks they were on career wise:
one was the do it a little while to save money for college , etc . most of these were not allowing modeling into the teen years to screw up high school and give them body issues, etc. those kids acted like kids, and their parents were much more involved and careful.
these were the people i preferred to work with.
the other was to get the kid a career in it as a model or performer, and those were the ones who i was really frightened for. there families treated them less like kids and they were allowed to be more out there, wearing loads of makeup and slutty clothes spending too much time with strangers who could "help their career". one little girl told of being at a party with j-lo and p-diddy. these people disturbed me, but they outnumbered the level headed parents 3 to 1. It's sad. Trust me I know. I've had to can ten year olds because they fainted from dieting to keep their weight. It ain't fun telling parents they ought to feed their kids if it means that they'll be losing a paycheck. I really wanted to telll that mom that the kid should be in school and she ought to find a job! They were living in a trailer park, and we fed the kid anything we had during the fittings, which made it hard to get any work done, but we felt bad for her. The reality of that business sucks for most kids.

35. My point being it's legal if it's Britney (and it is) so why would this
be illegal? Because she is not already famous? I'm really not sure, you tell me.
I understand why it's offensive, and I guess none of us knows what is on those DVD, but it is her Mom editing the pics and they are no worse than what is in popular magazines.
I agree, the copy is sleazy, makes it sound like it's going to be porn, but is there any? I think that it's gross, I don't approve, but I have seen what great lengths parents go to to help a kid in this business, and it's awful. I just don't see what law is being violated if this kid is happy to model. The copy sounds sleazy, but it's all hints and vague innuendo.
Yes I wish the website didn't exist, but I can't imagine what law it's breaking.
Who knows what he meant by offense. Whether the officer said offence or not, I would be really suprised if this is violating a law.

This is the owner and email address for the www.cindymodel.com website. This is most definitely child porn albeit a milder form but it's used for the same purpose. Look at the link at the bottom of the page of the little girl in panties. Sick fucker I'm going to email him and tell him what I think of him. :puke:
