Computer Pros re: Med Network |
|
For the past half hour or so, I've been redirected from the DU site to a "Med Network" site. Then the problem just disappeared!
Since then I've changed my password on this site, and cut out all my cookies.
Anything else I should do? Anyone else have this problem?

1. If you are using MS Internet Explorer, dump that shit and get Firefox! |

Sounds like either a popup window or your browser was hijacked. In either case, dumping the MS swiss cheese will be a good idea.

DU was the only address that was affected. If it was a browser hijack, would the problem clear up w/o action by me?
Some of the reading that I did suggests that the problem could be in the DNS cache or at the ISP servers. But it appears that no one else here had that problem.

I'm on my office network, and don't dare install new software.
I've printed your post and will take it home with me. I plan to get a new laptop that has the oomph to handle these new programs.
